What is the Death Act or PPACA, Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare really about?

The Death Act is not as common name used for the PPACA, Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, but it is gaining ground with some folks since it resonates a more truthful description.  PPACA, the Death Act, is about death. It is not about saving lives or caring for patients.  Unfortunately, no matter which of the 2-party system you have in office, the Death Act or a health plan that supports death and unsound financial policies is what you find on the forefront of healthcare policy.   Of course, these policies are given good sounding names like: patient protection, affordable care, Obama-care, Romney-care, but in the end they do not advocate life and care of people.

We as a nation need to start learning what these plans are about and call them for what they are.   Government policy creators can only pull the wool over our eyes, if we allow them.   We have a choice. We can be slaves, being ruled by others out of ignorance, or be free because we know the truth.   As they say ignorance is bliss and unfortunately a few will choose to be ignorant.  During this time of illusion when things seem fine and not too bad, it is easy for some to choose ignorance.   To those folks: I am not speaking to you. I am speaking to the majority of us who do not want to be ignorant and want the truth, so we can make the right choices and be free, prosperous, happy people.

The Death Act is about death and promoting death and destruction to our lives as well as our physical and financial well-being.  PPACA is only part of this overhaul and hindrance to our lives and national economy.  An amendment was added to PPACA called the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act, that included another bill the Student Aid and Fiscal Responsibility Actattached as a rider. All of these packaged together passed both houses of the 111th United States Congress and were signed into law by the signature of the President, Barack Obama, on March 23, 2010.

Please take a few minutes to read at least some parts of the actual legislation as you will find it very enlightening.  Links to parts are added above and below:

Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act – 111th Congress – H.R. 3590 –  This legislation has 906 pages with countless references to many other legislation documents that were changed by this  Act, so  to have full comprehension of this Act all documents would have to be read.   An endless amount of reading.   A few of those preceding legislation that have changed due to this Act are the Social Security Act Amendments of 1965 (the creation of Medicare and Medicaid) , Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (1986) (part of COBRA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (1996), Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act (2003), Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act (2005)

Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2012 – 111th Congress  – Amendment to H.R. 3590 – This amendment is 124 pages with references to other legislation documents you would have to read to understand what changes were made in previous legislation to have full comprehension of this Act.

Student Aid and Fiscal Responsiblity Act – 111th Congress – H.R. 3221- Rider on Amendment HCERA

Now, let’s take a peek at the actual written legislation of the Death Act.   Look at Chapter 49 – Section 5000B (it is easy to find just scroll all the way down to– page 902).  Here it states that the Death Act is imposing a 10 percent tax on any indoor tanning service.  Now tell me, what does that have to do with health care?  Why is government reaching into this private sector of business and stealing their money in the name of ‘healthcare reform’?

Have you noticed that your dentist is posting lots of propaganda about oral health?  Well they are getting paid to.  Take a look again at the Death Act (H.R. 3590) – page 432 – Part T – Oral healthcare Prevention Activities.  It states that dentists can receive grants, if they promote this new public ‘education’ campaign to focus on oral healthcare prevention and promoting community water fluoridation and dental sealants.  Is that good use of your tax money?  Giving dentist more money to display elaborate and expensive displays along with propaganda to scare you about your oral health.  This legislation does not reduce the cost of getting your teeth cleaned by the dentist.   It does not provide you with new information on how to take care of your teeth, that common sense and good oral hygiene practices didn’t already provide.  It will probably increase your cost of your dentist visit.  Due to these ‘new’ costly fluoride stay on ‘rinse’ and other products the government wants to promote.  Your dentist will have to push onto you the costs of new tools, software and/or equipment the dentist is required to use (like the ‘tooth-level surveillance’) page 434.  Of course, the dentist must do all of these things to stay on the bandwagon of free GRANT money!  It makes you wonder, does your dentist know best?  Is he/she doing things in your best interest or just following what the GRANT money requires of him/her?  How far will this go?  When will dentist say enough is enough?  Of course this new grant program is funded by your taxes and adds to our national debt.

OK Let’s do one more reading of the Death Act – (www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/BILLS-111hr3590) .  Look at the top of this document.  There is a word search tool. Type in the word council.  Section 4001 pops up called the National Prevention Health Promotion and Public Health Council.   Go to that section that starts on page 420.  Now look at the composition of this council: the Surgeon General as chairperson, along with the Secretary of Health and Human Services, the Secretary of Agriculture, the Secretary of Education, the Chairman of the Federal Trade Commission, the Secretary of Transportation, the Secretary of Labor, the Secretary of Homeland Security, the Administrator of the EPA, the Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy, Director of Domestic Policy Council, the Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs, the Chairman of the Corporation for National and Community Service and the head of any other Federal agency that the chairperson determines appropriate.   Do any of those departments know anything about healthcare and the well-being of your body?   Why does this council include heads from all sectors of the federal government?  Reading that list of departments involved in deciding what we Americans are to do with our lives is very alarming!  It gets worse.  This council, after obtaining input from relevant stakeholders (unknown – who are these folks?) will “develop a national prevention, health promotion, public health, and integrative health care strategy that incorporates the most effective and achievable means of improving the health status of Americans and reducing the incidence of preventable illness and disability in the United States.  So, in a nutshell this council will be able to tell you how to live and what to do in all aspects of your life, where you live, shop, sell, eat, drive, etc. and have complete control over all aspects of our lives in order to keep us ‘healthy’.  All this after they get input from their ‘stakeholders’ (an unknown group) of course.   Read on to learn more on how they will modify our behavior to get their desired outcome of Healthy People.   Healthy, by their definition, is more than just the physical healthy body.  It is ‘healthy behavior’.   ‘They’ will consolidate all federal health programs and centers.  ‘They’ will also make sure all programs and centers meet all ‘healthy behavior’ practices.  Of course, the council will eliminated any program or center that they determine is ‘ineffective’.

We have covered only 3 tiny areas of this enormous legislation.   It can be overwhelming.  Another way to start understanding the truth about PPACA, is to watch Dr. Jill Vecchio 7 part series of a non-partisan explanation of PPACA and what it means to Americans.  Hopefully, after reading what you have here and watching the videos, you will be intrigued, informed and inspired to do more research on your own.   After all, the truth shall set you free.
